Sociedad y Ambiente is a journal that seeks to "contribute to the understanding of socio-environmental problems related to the impact of human activities on the natural environment, as well as the effects of environmental changes on social and cultural conformation, whether from historical, contemporary, or prospective perspectives." It is published by El Colegio de la Frontera Sur, a Public Research Center affiliated with the Secretaría de Ciencia, Humanidades, Tecnología e Innovación.
