Resumen
En el marco de la crisis climática y la creciente desconexión de las personas con su entorno urbano, este estudio explora el papel del placemaking —construcción de lugares— para restablecer el vínculo afectivo con la ciudad. Con el objetivo de comprender las causas y manifestaciones de la disrupción del apego al territorio, evaluar el potencial de los huertos comunitarios para revertirla y analizar sus efectos en la movilización social por la sostenibilidad, se llevó a cabo un estudio de caso en el Huerto Roma Verde (HRV) de Ciudad de México. A través de una metodología cualitativa, que incluyó observación participante y entrevistas semiestructuradas, se analizaron los resultados desde el enfoque sociocultural de las emociones. Los resultados indican que el placemaking en el HRV es un proceso social en el que se ofrece un refugio verde en la ciudad, fortaleciendo el sentimiento de pertenencia y reactivando el apego local. A su vez, las actividades colaborativas y los talleres facilitan el manejo emocional y la construcción de redes de apoyo para afrontar la crisis climática. Además, las prácticas proambientales y los espacios de diálogo fomentan la conciencia y el apego al planeta.
